We have been clients of Dr. Richard Merkley for the last 24 years. His care and concern for the welfare and continued good health of me, my wife, and our two disabled sons, has exceeded all our expectations. He has set up plans of care to guide us for daily health and helped direct us to specialists when situations beyond the scope of his practice became necessary. The communication during follow-up is quick and timely. We recommend him to all who have asked us for a good doctor who respects you as a person, not just another source of income

If you want to ruin your medical practice hire Dr. Sutton's & Dr Merkey's new office staff!!!! My family had been patients of Dr. Sutton since 1998 and while there had been a few gaps here and there due to changes in health care plans, Kids not being sick and getting sports physicals at the high school we had always great service and the staff was fabulous but that is not the case anymore. We arrived early for our 9:30 appointment and immediately turned in all of the complete new/updated patient forms and United Health Care Insurance Cards. The young lady at the front desk said she would have to verify our coverage. I explained to her that if she had any issues verifying online that she would need to call the toll free number on the back of the card. We knew this having gone through it

I have been a patient of Dr, Merkley's for over 21 years. He is very thorough and knowledgeable, explaining the issues that are going on. I keep him apprised of my other doctors visits as it helps him know all aspects of my healthcare. He is one of the best doctor's I have had!!

I've been in the medical field for 20 years, if you are looking for a Dr who's compassionate or who is going to really listen to you without looking at you like you are a complete idiot, talking over you or being accusatory, then I would not suggest this doctor. I think it's time for retirement. I'm giving 3 stars because he has a lot of experience and I'm sure medically he is knowledgeable, very old school, which can be a good or bad thing depending on the medical condition, bed side manner, not so nice. I work with a group of 12 providers whom are all very respectful, great communicators with intense compassion and willing to answer any question you have without judgement or weird faces as though you were from another planet, which is hard to find. I usually leave this office wanting

This is exactly the type of doctor I was looking for! No nonsense, old school.
