I didn’t even get seen today. My long awaited appointment arrived and I checked in as happy as can be. After waiting an hour and fifteen minutes, I checked to make sure I hadn’t been forgotten. The acknowledgement I received was a very curt “ you’re next” by the receptionist who clearly had not been taught manners or customer service skills of any kind. I asked her if there was a convenient place around to get a snack, because I could feel my blood sugar getting low. Another patient gave me a Lifesaver. Finally I got into a room and the 2nd stage of waiting began. My blood pressure was uncharacteristically high. Then the nurse said that they might not even have my pre surgery paperwork yet.
