Regency Hospital - Porter

Thank you to the entire staff for such a great job. My Mom came to this facility and the staff was friendly, caring, and most importantly TRANSPARENT. The communication was frequent and constant. They delivered a plan to get my Mom back towards being healthy and followed the plan. The team is led by Jessica and she is nothing less than amazing. If someone is looking for a place that cares about all the patients, I would whole heatedly recommend Regency Hospital. Thank you again for the love and support my Mom received at this facility.

My brother came in to the LTAC in early February after having open heart surgery. The nurses and aides were all incredibly caring and attentive. He received excellent care. They got him back on his feet medically and physically. They sent him upstairs to the rehab unit, and unfortunately he developed someneurological issues and wasn't able to stay because he could not participate in his own rehab. He's spent the last 3 months in a nursing home that I cannot give such high praise for. At this point we are hoping to bring him back to the rehab unit to finish his Rehabilitation. There aren't enough words to say how amazing these people are. Everybody, from dietary to the nursing staff is just amazing.

I just wanna say. My uncle was a pt at Regency recently. He got the best care from all the staff. He was able to get out of the bed for the first time in over 20 days. He was able to discharge to a snf to get continued therapy. 5 stars all around.

This place is absolutely terrible. I wish I could give zero stars. My dad was there and the care is awful. He came from an ICU where he got more therapy than here. The staff is nonexistent only to come around every hour and hit the button for their rounds and never checking the patient . Call lights are on 20-50 minutes and when they come in they are bothered by it and some are very rough with frail patients. Diagnosis goes undetected until too late. Family has to be there all day to get anything done. Again... absolutely terrible!

There are two Regency hospitals one in East Chicago In which was Exceptional and I'm thrilled that The Portage location had the same standards and level of care. Exceptional nurses,aids dietary and admin. It's great knowing my mom is being so well cared for !! Mom loves it to. I can't thank this team enough. I really wish ppl would post positive reviews instead of just negative ones because your loved ones could be missing out on Exceptional care. Highly recommend. Unfortunately mom has been battling stage cancer.
