Regency Hospital - Cleveland East

UPDATE FOR TODAY We have been here in the Regency Hospital three days and the care is outstanding. Alan has been visited, evaluated, and treated by speech, occupational, physical,and wound therapies. He started the fever again on the second day and was immediately placed on antibiotics for the pseudomonas. The respiratory therapist is starting the process to wean him once again from the ventilator. He is always clean, comfortable, and being turned to prevent more pressure wounds. He has also been visited and evaluated by the renal doctor, the pulmonologist, the cardiologist, and the infectious disease doctor in addition to his primary care. The staff at Regency Hospital East was awesome! Mrs.V, the Case Manager was magnificent! She kept me updated on my husband‘s case and she gave me his physical updates as well as getting his paperwork prepared for his next skilled facility! The nurses and CNA’s were great too! I highly recommend this LTech hospital, it is the best!!

This will be an honest review. So thus far I would say don’t be admitted on the weekend. Like all hospitals most areas like pt, dietary, etc. are not open until Monday. Staff is extremely busy but very nice and helpful. Most nurses and aides are excellent but overwhelmed by short staff. Nursing and aide care provide far exceeds that of a regular hospital care. Except when patient load increases then they are short staffed. Some days I don’t know what happened but nurses and aides were taking very long to respond. At times waiting twenty five minutes to get bathroom assistance. A change of staff is more worried about rules than listening to your needs. I have Ben a patient for a couple of weeks. I have never gotten better treatment from any hospital. Shout out to a special cna Carmella, she made me feel as close to home while in a hospital that anyone could. I love my entire experience. Of course I’d rather be home. But shout out to the entire team thank you.

This was challenging to evaluate because there are numerous excellent nurses here who genuinely care for their patients. Conversely, there are PLENTY who do not. When physical therapy permits a patient with a traumatic brain injury to fall and incur yet another head injury due to their own negligence and irresponsibility, it becomes a very serious issue! How can one justify turning away to converse with another nurse while your patient, who is unable to walk independently, faceplants and injures their head once more? This may have been the most preventable and unacceptable incident I have ever observed in a hospital. It epitomizes neglect, and I sincerely hope these nurses are held accountable for prioritizing their own interests over those of their patients, resulting in my fiancée susta
