RC Dermatology Ankeny (North)

First time seeing a dermatologist and scheduled with Dr. Savannah Lanpher. Experience was amazing from the moment I walked in. Dr. Lanpher was great to work with and was treated with great care. I felt very comfortable and confident in the treatment that Dr. Lanpher was doing. Whole staff were great as well. Would highly recommend.

Savannah Lanpher, ARNP was my provider. The office was bright, and the person at the front desk was smiling and polite. Very hard to find in this day. The office was decorated and Christmas music was playing. Savannah’s nurse was also smiling and very personable. I stopped Savannah in the middle of my exam. I wanted her to know that she had already been more thorough than any other dermatology provider I’ve seen in my 20 plus years of exams. Both in the exam and in educating me on what she was seeing and how I should screen as someone with a history of Melanoma. Finding ALL of these things under one provider, including the fact that they are not afraid to celebrate Christmas, was very refreshing. I normally never leave reviews, but I had a really uncomfortable experience with the front desk staff regarding my insurance. When I tried to explain that my insurance had been filed incorrectly, I was immediately blamed and told what I “should have done” instead of being helped in a professional and understanding way. It felt very dismissive and stressful. This happened both in person and over the phone. Every other staff member I interacted with was kind and normal, but unfortunately the person handling insurance and billing was rude and not helpful at all, which really affected my overall experience. I would recommend going to a different location if you want smoother communication and friendlier service, especially when it comes to insurance and payments.

Savannah is the best. She is so observant to notice things that aren’t the issue at the time, and addressing them. I feel she truly cares about her patients. Even for the most minor issues.

They were kind and courteous from the very beginning. I thought they went out of their way to find a treatment for me that worked. When insurance provided a road block, they navigated around it. Not once did anyone make me feel self conscious about my condition. They were very good to me. Thank you all at RC Dermatology!
