From the day we met with Dr. Burks, we knew we were in exceptional hands. If you find you need cataract surgery (and are a bit worried about - yikes! - messing with your eyes), this is where I suggest you go. Dr. Burks is kind, patient and thorough. Pre-op he explained EVERYTHING and, most importantly, didn't continue until he knew we understood. During the surgery, he explained every step of the procedure in a way that was easy to understand. Truly puts his patients at ease before the surgery...and during. His staff is just as warm, organized and genuinely caring - Marcia (his nurse) and scheduling appointments with Melissa was amazing -- you'll think, how are these people so nice?! Dr Burks (and most of his staff) are mean and unfriendly, he will probably talk down to you as he did me. I had my exam years ago but I will always remember his sadistic, ill demeanor. I absolutely think he should retire because it probably comes with age.

Dr. Burks is an outstanding doctor. Dr. Burks removed my cataracts and, most recently, repaired an incision from Mohs surgery on my eyelid. Dr. Burks takes time to thoroughly explain procedures and what to expect afterward. He is patient and reassuring. Dr. Burks’ staff is also outstanding. The office staff actually answer telephone calls and acknowledge patients’ concerns. The medical staff members are friendly and kind. I am grateful to Dr. Burks and his staff for their skill and their kindness.

Dr. Randy Burks is wonderful!! We were referred to him, when my mom went to a dermatologist for what we originally thought was a small wart on her eyelid. After he received the lab results, Dr. Burks discovered that it was skin cancer and quickly informed us that she needed ocuplastic surgery for the repair of her eyelid after the MOHS surgery. His office does not take her insurance but he took time out of his day to explain to us the next steps and he was so helpful in trying to help us find a surgeon that did take her insurance. He really cares! We ultimately decided to pay out of pocket and go with Dr. Randy Burks for the repair of the eyelid and we do not regret that decision! BEST DECISION EVER! He really is the best! I recently went to see Dr Burks for Cataract Surgery. I was very nervous prior to surgery, but Dr Burks and his staff made me feel very comfortable from the get go. The surgery was very successful and I would highly recommend Dr Burks and his staff for a 5 Star Experience!
