Dr. Rajabrata Sarkar-#1 Vascular Surgeon is an amazing human being! He’s patient with you, hilarious, and caring about all his patients. And I know, because I’m fortunate to be one of his patients. His dedication, knowledge, kindness and compassion for his patients top tier. I used to be fearful of having to go to the doctors office, and if the mere mention of any surgery was stated I would not return. Dr. Sarkar makes feel calm, cared for, and that has been felt from my husband and our adult children! We thank God that we have Dr. Sarkar as our Doctor!

Dr sarkar truly saved my life. I am forever indebted to him for clearing my carotid artery it was 97% clogged and cause me to have a stroke. I am positive that it wasn't for him clearing the artery I would be dead for a massive stroke. I truly love this man! When I see him for follow up always greets me with a smile and kind words. I highly recommend this doctor!

I previously left a five star review at Dr. Sarkar’s REQUEST because he was concerned about his rating after all the bad reviews. I should’ve noted that as a red flag, as well as the fact that he remembers nothing whatsoever from any conversation or appointment you ever have with him. This was not a huge issue as I could “remind” him of previous decisions he would try to go back on or forget; however, my last admission following my second jugular compression surgery it has caused irreversible medical abuse and negligence. My last appointment prior to the second surgery I reminded Sarkar of my abnormal post op pain management plan (due to an extensive list of allergies to the usual pain medications and multiple severe chronic pain conditions) reiterating that it was of the upmost importance

Dr. Sarkar has done several vascular compression surgeries for me that have been giving me my life back! I’m so greatful for his skill and the skill of the whole vascular team at UMMC. I’ve had many surgeries throughout my life and the surgeries that he has done for me have had the best pain management by far and few complications. He is an incredibly talented surgeon. I highly recommend him for Eagle’s Syndrome/jugular compression, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, and Pec Minor Syndrome!
