Intransparent billing and highly problematic treatment of inquiries when billing issues are raised. After an appointment with RC Dermatology at the Mount Ayr site this summer, I paid the bill via phone and was assured that the payment went through okay. After a follow-up appointment this fall, I received an EOB from my healthcare provider, but never a bill from RC. Instead, I received a bill from a debt collector. The next business day, I contacted RC billing and explained the situation. I was informed that the debt collector note pertained not to the most recent visit, but the supposedly unpaid summer appointment!
