I had a very disappointing experience with the dermatologist nurse practitioner. Just as other reviews on the UPenn website mentioned, she was dismissive of my symptoms and implied that my answers to her questions weren't truthful. As women, we constantly experience gaslighting by our doctors, and it's even more disheartening when that comes from another woman. Research indicates, people of color often face dismisal by their health care providers, it's unfortunate I had to experience this. I expected better care and understanding.
