Quality Life Services - Westmont

My step father has been in the personal care side for almost 2 years, everyone is friendly and helpful and he gets great care. Communication is very fast if/when we need anything or have a question. I have zero complaints. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is I feel like there could be more activities or social opportunities but overall we are highly satisfied.

This facility is a joke on “quality care”. The nursing staff are ill mannered men and women who couldn’t care less about their patients. They make crude nicknames for patients and laugh on their behalf. The way they treat family members with concerns is absolutely disgusting. The behavior we have experienced and witnessed include talking back, eye rolling, and making poor excuses for why they didn’t attend to our loved ones needs. The nursing staff between night and day shift have poor communication and do not communicate with each other. Nurses do not leave notes for the other staff members taking on their shifts on what needs to be done with patients. The facility itself is dirty, smells musty and isn’t taken care of by any of the staff. They disregard patients completely, upon a visit w

My wife has been a patient/resident in personal care for a little over a year here. The staff in personal care are attentive, caring, compassionate and patient with her care. They have gotten to know her when she’s having a good day, a day when she is not feeling well and when she needs to go to the hospital. They act in a swift and timely manner to take care of her medical needs. They treat her as part of their family. I can rest easily that she is in the care of this wonderful staff. I have told the staff several times that I appreciate the care they give to my wife and they are AWESOME!! I have told many people outside here about the care my wife receives here and highly recommend this facility. Again this staff here are absolutely awesome.

Zero Stars Rating: The day after my father came home from Westmont Woods the Home Health Nurse gave my father eight (8) days to live and he is now on hospice. The information on my father's discharge paperwork regarding certain physical stats as well as physical capabilities was completely wrong to the point, it appears, to be a lie!! On the transportation home, Westmont Woods did not have enough diapers for my father so they tapped a smaller diaper to his body which fell down to his ankles and casued an accident. In addition, his cloths that were sent home stunk of urine and BM which took fours washes to get the smell out of his cloths. Please beware of this facility as it is the worst place I have encountered for care of my father. The staff is completely rude to patients and their families when concerns and needs are asked about. I have witnessed, watched and overheard staff making fun of the patients and straight out laughing about them and their families at the nurses station and in the hallways. They make constant excuses on why care is not being met. They do not keep a daily log of what goes on with patients between the staff and shift changes. The staff does not communicate at all with each other on what needs to be done with patients either and there is zero consistency between them.
