Pure Essentials

The man who sometimes works here is so rude! My partner and I were at the Modern Chemist counter in the back, and the man came to the back to ask us to “sit and relax” while waiting for the pharmacist to fill our order. We responded, “oh, that’s okay, thank you, this should be quick”, as the pharmacist was actively filling our order, and we expected to be done in about 2 minutes. (Perfectly reasonable interaction.) The man from Pure Essentials returned to the front of the store, and started loudly criticizing us (to the other employee) for not sitting. What? Honestly, I’d had a positive experience with both Pure Essentials and Modern Chemist until this point, but this experience was so strange and aggressive that I don’t want to enter this store again — I’m still perplexed and a little sh

The NICEST staff - sweet, courteous and helpful. Well-stocked neighborhood gem that is clean and well organized. Huge bonus: Modern Chemist in the back that is wonderful for prescription medications. They also carry Baggu items which make great gifts and wonderful French soap that I am addicted to. Can't say enough good things & I've been shopping here for years.

For its size has a good selection of goods especially for baby needs. Prices are cheaper than Duane Reade, or Rite Aid out here as well. Also very nice you can drop off UPS packages here as well as do pickups here if UPS can't deliver to your home.

The comment "oh it went through" as I am checking out comes off as one thing and one thing only and, that's racist. You're implying that my card would decline otherwise? Rude.

I stopped in this store to browse. I wound up buying a hair brush. This is a small store with unique items. Prices vary. Friendly staff.
