Pulse-MD Urgent Care

I presented with a small laceration to R index finger that would not stop bleeding with an hour of direct pressure. I was easily received by the front desk, she handled new registration because I couldn't hold a pen. Both the assistant and the PHYSICIAN (I hate "provider") were straightforward and easy to talk to. Tx was done within 45 min. In an ER with that minor injury I would have been triaged dead last so Pulse was great to have.

I had a very disappointing experience at this urgent care. From the start, I felt dismissed — the doctor barely examined me and immediately wanted to prescribe antibiotics without running any tests. I had to insist on being tested for flu and COVID, and only after pushing did they agree. The flu test came back positive, which confirmed my concerns. If I hadn’t advocated for myself, I would have been misdiagnosed and given unnecessary medication. Patients shouldn’t have to fight to receive basic, appropriate care.

This is an A+ urgent care. I went on a Tuesday morning and it was a breeze. That staff is super helpful, attentive, and kind. If you do not have medical insurance, there is a $120 out of pocket fee. I would recommend coming here if you’re looking for a doctor / urgent care. Easy parking lot too next to the super market.

Was received right away, waiting time was short. Promptly got xrays, diagnosis, referrels for orthopedic doctor followup and for keeping the brace on until getting to the specialist. Got an appointment to one of the recommended specialists the next business day following the urgicare visit, and am pleased with that outcome as well.

They say they open at 8 am. This is my second time here at 8 and nobody is here. Doctors are chronically late and they don’t let patients in until doctor arrives. Will it be 9 or 10am? Who knows? The place is run down… inspires zero confidence in care and feels more like a money grab scheme.
