After being turned away at Walgreens around 8:00 p.m. due to my insurance being out of network, I discovered that the Publix pharmacy was both in network and still open. I spoke with Ms. Debbie and her colleague, and despite having only 45 minutes before closing, they stayed on hold for 35 minutes to successfully transfer and fill my prescription. Even though I arrived just five minutes before closing, they still took the time to help me and made sure I got what I needed. I am extremely grateful for their professionalism, dedication, and responsiveness. Exceptional service!

Service at this location has declined. I’ve been a customer here for years but will be shopping for a new pharmacy. Their phone system for requesting refills informs that they will contact my doctor to request when a prescription has expired…. However, when I went to pick up at the time instructed, the pharmacist told me that I am the one who must contact my doctor….not them. This is different from the way this situation has been handled over the past 10 years. (And why not automate their phone recording?) The pharmacist told me the doctor doesn’t respond to their fax. FAX???? Really? She told me all of their communications are done by fax…….so I think I’m beginning to see the source of the inefficiency!

I’ve used this pharmacy for years, but will be transferring my prescriptions after a careless mistake. I asked when the new Covid vaccine would be available (2024-2025) and was told it was in stock. After getting it, I saw on the paperwork that it said 2023-2024, so now I wasted a day being sick from the side effects and I will have to get the new one anyway when it actually does come out. Reading labels seems like a fairly basic and important skill for a pharmacy employee, but evidently it’s not required to work here.

Disappointed in the pharmacy service. Something has changed recently. It is not what is used to be in terms of helpfulness. The rest of the store is great.

My wife was in the hospital for pneumonia and was given two prescriptions as she was being discharged. One was for an antibiotic, which was erroneously written for 3 times the strength as intended by the attending physician. We took the prescriptions to Dr. Puja Weatherford who immediately recognized the error. Subsequently, she called the physician and had the prescription corrected. The overdose could have killed my wife. Then Dr. Weatherford warned my wife that the second prescription should not be taken with alcohol, a salient fact that the physician's staff didn't mention. Although my wife doesn't drink, she and I were comforted by Dr. Weatherford's keen pharmacy acumen and ethics. We felt that she was there for us beyond just filling a prescription. I receive all my vaccin
