Publix Pharmacy at Highland Plaza

So utterly disgusted. Spent 40 minutes waiting in line at floral. After a line at times 10 people deep and multiple attempts to get extra help, a manager finally comes over. All I have to do is pick up a simple order placed at least 10 days in advance. After 20 more minutes,they finally discovered that my order was never made. They find an order "similar" to mine, (it wasnt) but its my kids HOCO, so it'll have to do. I get a half hearted apology, for 2 major screw ups, but they still want to charge me for it. I settled on a discount for what was clearly the wrong order-cause my kid isn't going to be the only one without for his date. But honestly, I will never work with this place again. Just the total disorganized apathy.

After filling here for 4 years I can honestly say I’ve never felt like they’ve tried to help me. I always feel like I’m bothering them when I come to the counter. They roll their eyes at me when I ask for wait times. Don’t offer to transfer scripts if they go to the wrong location. Don’t ask if I’d like to talk to the pharmacist if I have a new medication. Just general bad customer service and patient advocacy, that is consistent every time I need to go to the pharmacy.

So some of the staff is knowledgeable and really worked to get the order for my son right. The lady who rung us up perhaps was new, regardless, one of the allergy meds was marked with the incorrect price, then she visibly upset when I requested she put the item back and checked the label to show me it was wrong by reading it out loud then saying she will address it with the pharmacist when she realized she was in fact incorrect. I had them flavor my sons antibiotic (for an up charge of $3 which is very reasonable) but on top of the fact she got flavoring all over the bag and bottle I can with 90% certainty say she put an excessive amount. It was foul, and for the 10 days he now smells like the flavoring, even his diapers smell like it and it was a struggle to even get it close to his mouth

I can’t believe someone left them a 1 star because they aren’t getting a free gift card for getting their flu shot. Because I’ve had nothing but great experiences with this pharmacy. I’m sure they’re dealing with staffing shortages and other issues as everyone else is, but they always get my prescriptions taken care of in a timely manner. I’ve heard of other pharmacies having major backlogs, and I haven’t experienced that with this one.

Use Caution with them because they rely on their automated system TOO MUCH. For example, I requested a refill and the automated system said it would be available next day after 3pm. When it didn’t show up by the second day, I called a person and was told my request was DENIED. If they weren’t going to refill, they should have told me that to begin with. Now I have to call the doctor to get his order updated and wait for that to happen to get my refill.
