Publix Pharmacy at First Merritt Shopping Center

When trying to obtain information on why they decided to stop filling my medication after getting it there for two years, your pharmacist screamed at me across the pharmacy and was extremely unkind. I asked for the statute of why she could not dispense me in paper, and she told me I was annoying her pharmacy and threatened to report me, then gave me a statute for something totally irrelevant to what I was asking. I already have horrible medical PTSD and this experience was unacceptable and contributed to my PTSD even more. Would not recommend this pharmacy, but even more so I would suggest that they take a few lessons in human compassion as I was brought to tears when just trying to understand what to do next about my prescription. Kimmi (I hope I remembered her name right) helped me today and I HAD to come leave a review to say she is such a wonderful addition to the team! She’s friendly and personable, she knows what she’s doing, and she went above and beyond to help me. She even figured out how to get my (very expensive) medication billed through my savings card that I’ve tried to use other times but no one else has been able get it to work. She fixed a problem I couldn’t get solved last month. She is PHENOMENAL. I’d also like to add that a lot of these negative reviewers are clearly just upset that they were not allowed to abuse the staff. I applaud Publix for not tolerating that kind of behavior from customers and empowering your team to refuse service to guests who don’t treat them with respect and dignity.

This pharmacy denied filling my disabled husband’s medication and DISCHARGED him because they apparently don’t know how to handle patients with neurological disorders. I will be taking all my prescriptions for my whole family elsewhere and making sure I spread the word so my friends do the same. Do better not just as pharmacist but as human beings This seems to be a common complaint on your reviews

Stopped in to pick up a prescription today that the Dr sent over at 930am. It is almost 245pm. Not filled. Medication won't be in until tomorrow. New Medication. Technician looks at me and rudly sayes perhaps you should of called to see if it was ready. I was definitely taken aback by her tone and boldness. When you say shopping is a pleasure your pharmacy is exempt from that statement.

My mother had an appointment at the Publix pharmacy to get vaccinated so I took her there. I waited in line to get served because there was a customer in front of me who was being attended to by the pharmacist and a female assistant doing something else. After about 5 minutes the customers in front of me were gone and the assistant went to the front window making phone calls. The person working at the store came up the pharmacist and started chatting about his health and how the pharmacist helped him all while I'm still standing there without a word. After that person left, I kept standing there and neither of them (pharmacist or assistant) asked if they could help me with something.
