⭐☆☆☆ PROVIDENCE URGENT CARE- SOUTHGATE-- right next to world market across from the Southgate mall. This is, without question, one of the most unprofessional and disrespectful medical clinics I have ever encountered. I came to this location seeking care for what I believed was strep throat. From the moment I walked in, I was treated like an inconvenience rather than a patient. A mask was thrown at me instead of being offered respectfully, and I was made to feel uncomfortable and judged for simply being sick and asking for care. While sitting in the waiting room, staff members were having loud, explicit, personal conversations with each other that had absolutely no place in a medical environment. Discussions about staying up all night, intimate relationships, partying, and crude comments
This was hands down one of the most uncomfortable, disrespectful, and unprofessional healthcare experiences I’ve ever had. While patients were sitting in the waiting room, a staff member was loudly talking about being on the phone with his boyfriend until 3 a.m., saying he shouldn’t have even come into work and joking about wanting to be in bed cuddling instead. This wasn’t whispered — it was openly discussed where sick patients could hear everything. He then openly stated that he’s “not a very caring or empathetic person,” and instead of anyone shutting that down, other staff members laughed along. Hearing that in an urgent care, while waiting to be treated, was unbelievable. Things got worse from there. When I said I was there for strep throat — something that is clearly contagious — I
I left this clinic genuinely shocked at how poorly it is being run, especially considering it’s a new urgent care facility. The atmosphere alone was enough to make me uncomfortable. Staff members were openly socializing, speaking loudly about personal matters and weekend activities within earshot of patients. The tone felt casual to the point of being careless — not what anyone expects when seeking medical attention. What stood out most was the lack of professionalism in both behavior and urgency. Staff appeared disengaged, annoyed, and more focused on chatting than on patient care. One employee’s appearance and conduct came across as immature and unserious, which only added to the feeling that this clinic does not hold itself to appropriate healthcare standards. When it came time for c
I was honestly shocked reading the previous reviews. That was not my experience. Today the staff was courteous, efficient and the physician extremely knowledgeable and helpful. This will be my go-to walk-in clinic. Thank you Dr. H and crew!
I left this place feeling worse than when I walked in — not because I was sick, but because I didn’t trust the care I received. Everything felt rushed and sloppy. Questions were brushed off, explanations were minimal, and it felt like staff were just checking boxes instead of actually evaluating anything. There was no sense of urgency or attention to detail, which is pretty concerning in an urgent care setting. The overall vibe was careless and disorganized, like no one was really in charge. I’ve been to plenty of urgent cares, and this is the first time I’ve walked out thinking, “That didn’t feel right.” For a brand-new clinic, this is a bad look. Until major changes are made, I’d seriously recommend going somewhere else.
