AMAZING IOP program! Ive been through 3. The others at Kaiser and this one. This one far exceeds theirs. I had also never done them in person. It was annoying at first, but you connect so much better with others going through it with you and the therapists. They even put you on a waitlist to do a follow up DBT group to support you afterward if you want/need more. Highly recommended 👌

This place has a great I.O.P program, I think it saved my life. Staff is great, there are people from different backgrounds who don't judge or assume, they are very accepting and welcoming to everyone, and they really know what they are doing, even the pharmacy they typically send you to is lovely. I've never felt listened to before coming to this place, it gave me hope. I have to specifically call out Kyle, Sarah and Alex, being supported, having things explained to me in a way I could understand, and getting medication management from someone competent and very nice to me, was a perfect trio that really set things on a different path for me, thank you, and everyone else on staff so much, you all work together really well. I have stayed at this hospital twice. The first time I had a surgery to have a fibroid the size of a soccer ball removed... while I was 15 weeks pregnant with my first child. There was a 25% chance he wasn’t going to make it and while thats a 75% chance everything would be fine, at the time I could only see the possible down side. Mere months later was actually at an appointment at NW perinatal to schedule an induction (top notch facility also) when much to my surprise I was 4 cm dilated in active labor. I can’t say enough good things about Providence Portland! I was blown away both times! The staff was beyond friendly and so sweet. The facility is spotless. I had a 2-3/4 hour surgery to remove a tumor from my head. The before and after care were first class and the doctor (Dr. Bell) did an amazing job. The nursing staff was knowledgeable and caring. I have nothing but praise for the hospital and staff!

The second time I went they had already done away with the smoking, the walks and the windows that opened or even allowed you to see out of.. The nurses are nice and fairly competent asides from the ever present power tripper cast in every detox or treatment environment .. I'm planning on going back just because. They really messed it up when they turned it into a 5 day program.. That's not OK.
