My son did not receive adequate care and as new parents, we did not receive support or education. When we gave unsure responses to milestone questions, we were told "it will all come in time". At 9 months old my son could not sit for longer than 20 seconds and when I asked for a physical therapy referral, I was given it to "ease my mind." His physical therapists immediately noticed there was something larger going on and suggested we get referrals for specialists. When I went to Providence Pediatric to get the referrals, I was told, "If there is anything wrong, I doubt it is anything serious." Fast forward four months after dozens of tests and genetic testing, and we find out our son has a rare mitochondrial disorder that will most likely take his life in childhood. After the diagnosis,

The doctors and staff have always been accommodating with scheduling and sick visits. Several times over the years the Drs opened up after hours on a Saturday to see my children. Any needed paperwork has always been completed in a timely manner. Communication from the entire staff has always been great.

These doctors are all amazing. Them and their nursing and reception staff are always so kind and understanding and comforting. They care about my son and his health and it shows. They are quick to get him sick appointments immediately. And they are so accommodating. I don’t know that better pediatricians or doctors offices exist.

what is with this place and their outdated recommendations?? At 6 months they said no more night feeds as baby doesn’t need them (false, many breastfed babies still get the majority of their calories overnight). At 9 months they said baby needs to cry it out because I’m being manipulated (as if an infant is mentally or biologically capable of manipulation lol). They also recommended starting with cereal only (so unnecessary and no health benefit for baby) I’m baffled at the recommendations these doctors are making for babies!! I didn’t realize it was still 1994. It’s clear none of the doctors have stayed up to date on any current research on best practice for babies. Anyone who tells me not to respond to my child just because the sun has gone down is not a good fit for me. On to the next

What a great office ! These doctors are all amazing and caring. I was Dr. Gibbon and DiMaggios patient as a child starting in 1974, when the office was run out of her house! It's such a great sense of security knowing my children are being cared for by such tremendous docs! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication!
