Providence Pediatric Nephrology

5 stars is an understatement. My son and I live in Montana and were initially referred to Seattle Children's Nephrology. I called Seattle Children's every day for weeks. When scheduling finally called me back they couldn't see my son for 5 months. Even his PCP calling to try to expedite appointment did no good. Providence called ME less than 48 business hours after referral was received. I spoke with Hannah who was so sweet and professional. She said "I have a referral for BLANK reason and for that we want to see him in 2 weeks." Fast forward to the appointment. Dr. Romero spent over an hour in the room with us. He went over every test result and vital sign from PCP workup and told me what he was worried about and what wasn't concerning. He answered all of my questions and had amazing beds

Doctor Richards has always been helpful and responsive. However, we always show up on time and wait 20 mins in the waiting room and then another 20 mins in the patient care room to be seen by the doctor. No apologies from the staff. My son is 4 years old. The nurses and receptionists don't seem to understand that children can't wait that long...? Very frustrating. I feel bad for the staff too. They must get a lot of negative feedback and hostility from parents but the office manager needs to fix their appointment and rooming procedures.

The actual visit that my daughter had was great, the provider was very thorough and nice. But now it’s been almost 3 weeks since I called and asked for a return call to go over her abnormal lab results with no return call. While I understand that they are a small clinic with few staff and busy. Their lack of correspondence makes it seem like they don’t care about the patients

Called 3 times to get my child an appt here, they would not return my call. Yesturday, (4 months later!) I recieved a call from another clinic stating all of the info had been sent to them because PPN didn't have any available apptments, and they had passed on the referral to them. I never recieved a call that they were transferring us, absolutly horrible, no communication what so ever! Very frustrating!

I was referred here for my 15 year old daughter. The nursing staff is amazing the doctor on the other hand is more concerned about the science behind her reasoning than the actual individual needs of the patient and when questioned they become rude and hostile. In the few times we have been here we never received actual test results or an explanation of the results nor have received a phone call with test results after tests have been received.
