I can’t thank James and the entire team enough for everything they’ve done for me. I originally started PT in Oyster Bay, but after working with James, I knew I needed to follow him to the Locust Valley location—and I’m so glad I did. I absolutely love the small office feel; it made every visit feel personal and welcoming. After hip surgery, I’ve been coming here for about five months, and I truly feel like I got my life back. I was terrified of being in my 30s and not being able to be athletic anymore. Now I’m jumping, moving, and finally getting back to my everyday activities without fear. This review is bittersweet because I actually looked forward to going to PT. Pro Sports became like family, and I feel so lucky to have been under the care of such an incredible group of people. A hu
After experiencing a very complicated knee replacement surgery, a close friend of mine recommended Pro Sports Physical Therapy in Locust Valley. I knew I had a long road of PT ahead of me and, according to my surgeon, I was facing a second surgery because of my limited range of motion. Karen, at Pro Sports, and her team of knowledgeable therapists gave me great encouragement and hope that a second surgery would not be necessary. With my hard work they knew they could help me, and I believed in them because of how caring, and dedicated they are and with the one on one personalized treatment they offer. Pro Sports is also on the game with their state of the art equipment. They were right! I did escape a second surgery and I am forever grateful to Pro Sport’s team of highly professional ther
UPDATE: We were told we had to pay out-of-pocket due to some insurance issue, and that we would be refunded if/when the issue was resolved. It was then the owner told us at every subsequent visit that she would personally see to it that we were refunded. Complete lies, we never received any refund. Needless to say, we found a new equally good PT office closer to home. Original Review: We’ve been to several Physical therapists over the past 20 years and the Locust Valley Pro Sports PT office is by far the best. Other therapists just work with you the first two or three visits then throw you in a corner with a ball or some other toy. The therapists at Pro Sports PT work with us every step of the way, either hands on or right there monitoring your moves. Progress is clearly evident too. Imp
I was very happy on my first visit with how attentive the staff was to my needs and recovery. It being a smaller location is a plus in my opinion because it allows for a more personal connection where the therapists can really learn about your daily habits and activities to really help you in the road to recovery. It almost seems like a family in this office. I always see other patients smiling. This is extremely beneficial in patient recovery because they need to believe that they will get better. And that is what the staff at pro sports succeeds at, helping patients realize they will get to the other side of this. It’s a 5 in my book!
After rotator cuff surgery I attended ProSports Physical Therapy in Locust Valley twice a week for one month. I found the facility to be very clean and the staff pleasant. However when I went to see my surgeon for my follow up visit he was very disappointed with the lack of progress I exhibited after having had PT for a month. After answering his questions as to the activities I was being given at PT he quickly informed me to find another Physical Therapy place. I am now attending PT at a different facility and am finally starting to make some real progress . So if you’re looking for a PT place after you’ve had rotator cuff surgery I would stay away from this place.
