Dad just got through with his second (or third, can't remember!) stay at Princeton Care Center. Each time, they took great care of him--they make a tough situation easier, for sure. The facility is clean, quiet, and well-staffed. What I like best about Princeton Care is that it’s run by a family, the Bogners, and they are Johnny on the spot whenever there’s a problem. This sets Princeton Care apart from other rehab centers I’ve had dealings with. Many are run by big corporate chains. When there’s a problem, good luck getting it attended to. Because it’s run by a family, however, Princeton Care is very responsive. Looking after older people is not an easy job, and inevitably problems occur. My mom is in this LTC since 6-7 years. She was very happy because of very supportive staff, and doctors. Unfortunately, many good nurses left so we see that there is a poor management and less staff. Here are few things that I noticed, Please read last item for sure . 1. Air condition leaks from above floor; they fixed 2 times but again it is a same issue. 2. Floors are dirty , corners have lot of dust, dead bugs and ants. I don’t know anything for other floors , but second floor sucks. Finally, they cleaned with some excuses. 3. Mom was on morphine . Instruction from hospice was to check every hr and give morphine as needed. One of the nurse, didn’t show up for 3 hrs. When she showed up , she was upset. After back and forth , I thought things are good. But my instinct told me to stay un

I am an elder law attorney in central New Jersey. Princeton Care Center has been a great resource for my clients for nearly the last decade. My clients have been well cared for, and I find the administration's communication to be exceptional. They deal with issues in a timely and efficient fashion.

Do not believe the Medicare 5 star rating! Not even close. This place is seriously understaffed. Its not uncommon to take 3 hours to get a diaper change! Some of the staff they have are fabulous and will treat your loved one like family, others are deplorable, disrespectful, rude and downright hostile. But I do believe that being overworked and likely underpaid isn’t good for employee morale and am certain that plays a factor in overall treatment of patients. The theft there runs rampant, there are staff that will steal anything that isn’t nailed down...clothing, toiletries, personal items, even a lousy ink pen. Princeton Care Center, and the staff there have always helped us out with residents going to their rehab, and returning to us even stronger, or back to their base line. They work closely with families to make sure their loved one is taken care of. :)
