Primary Vision Care

I'm a grumpy old man and long time patient. Dr. Diaz listens to me and treats me like a person. She puts things in words I can understand. She keeps my Glaucoma at bay and closely tracks my cataracts. I don't normally post reviews unless I'm pissed.

My experience is was extremely horrible, from the time I walked in everyone was just completely rude. Once I finally got to see the eye doctor and went to pay they told me that my insurance didn’t cover a contact lens exam which was a lie, they just wanted me to pay full price for the exam. Not to mention after 3 weeks I never received my prescription so I called and asked for my prescription and they told me that I needed to come back in for a fitting and pay another 95$. After I paid 105$ at my first visit, they are still refusing to give me my eye glass or contacts prescription, I had to file a fraud complaint with my eye insurance so I could be seen at a different place. I would definitely go some where else and avoid this place!

I have had great experience with the eye doctors and clinical staff. However I have had issues with front staff calling when my products were in, or returning phone calls. I have been waiting more than two weeks for a trial contact to come in before ordering. I got a voicemail that it was in and I needed to schedule a time to come in a try the fit. I have made three calls, during business hours, that when straight to voicemail. I left messages and they have never been returned. Today is Thursday, I left a message around noon, no call back, and now the office is closed until Monday. I NEED these contacts to see and I"m very frustrated. I've been coming here for years but the past few years have noticed a decline. I'm not certain I will be returning.

The optometrist that I saw was pretty good. However, the staff that work at this office are not professional. I see this is echoed in other reviews of this office. I was told I could come in early to fix an issue with the contacts they prescribed me. I arrived 2 minutes before their regular hours, not 9:30 as she had told me I could. I arrived at 9:58 to a locked door and the staff watching me from inside. When I knocked, I was met by the receptionist in an extremely rude way. They denied that they had claimed I could come in early and were confrontational about it. They were also confrontational about rescheduling me the first time that I had called to tell them that the contacts they had me in weren't working. It seems to me that the staff needs to be better trained in customer service.

I went to see Dr. Henry for my glasses 10 long years ago when I was living in Columbus. His exam was incredible, and to my surprise he discovered that I had cataracts, and he helped me get rid of them. Wow what a color difference. Wow what a great Doctor. Since my relocation to Atlanta, I still make sure that my Ohio trips include check-ups with his Primary Vision staff. To top it off they help me look better by advising me on the frames that I always get compliments on. Yep, Atlanta has lots of eye care services...but not personal, expert care like PVC. I am looking forward to next week, because we are driving up to a family basketball game, and I have just made my appointment.
