Primary Care of Long Island - Primary Urgent Medical

I havent been to a doctors office in years, but I recently decided to get dental implants and I came here to get the release for my dental surgery. I still can't remember the doctors name, but what I can remember is he made me feel like my situation was as important to him as it was to me. That's a very different feeling that what I'm use to. He doesn't know it yet, but he will be my primary doctor. Lol.

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Patel’s office!! Every time I go I feel like I get the BEST care possible no matter what Dr I happen to see that day!!! You never sit there waiting for hours like you do at other offices in fact by the time you go to sit after signing in they are calling you to come to the back!!! Every Dr. I have seen there has gone above and beyond for me!! I have recommended this office to friends of mine and will contjnue to do so that’s how happy I am with this practice!!! Keep up the GREAT work!!!

I called today to make an appointment, and they told me they do not accept my insurance. Okay, fine. I applied for health insurance via NY State of Health just a month ago and was automatically assigned to this doctor. I tried to explain this to the front desk, but all the front desk did was hang up on me. They said they stopped accepting this insurance 3 years ago, but it isn’t updated in NY State of Health records? How is that my fault or for me to be hung up on? Can’t imagine how their medical practice is if their front desk is this rude and disgusting and not willing to even help address patients concerns.

Came in for a DOT physical, and despite a considerable line I was accommodated in a reasonable amount of time. The staff was friendly and understanding, there wasn’t a single bad attitude in the place. The nurse/inspector who tested me was considerate, thorough and kind. The doctor who gave a final evaluation was great, very down to earth. She also had kind recommendations on keeping overall health in check, from a genuine place of wanting to see a healthy person in trucking. I’ll be coming back. Also, they were $50 less than land/sea/air, and another place I called in commack. It’s great to see a place where being seen and getting medical attention is the focus, because many of the people in the waiting room with me were also paying out of pocket.

As a woman of color, I was important for me to find a doctor that will really listen to and acknowledge my concerns. Unfortunately, I have experienced the opposite in the past. Dr. Patel is very patient, understanding, informative and willing to do whatever you need of her once it’s within bounds. She truly embodies what it means to be a doctor. She makes her patients feel important and confident in maintaining good health.
