Premier Health Urgent Care - Kettering

My son was refused care today because he did not have a driver’s license or state ID. Staff repeatedly stated, “That’s the policy,” and pointed to a posted sign. There was no effort to offer guidance, no explanation of alternative forms of identification, and no attempt to problem-solve for a sick patient standing in front of them. Told us to go to the ER, then tried to lecture on the ID situation. I had to walk out. We immediately went to another facility where he was seen without issue using his work ID. Same organization. So clearly, this was not about inability to verify identity. It was about unwillingness to be helpful. Healthcare is not retail. You are dealing with vulnerable, unwell people. Worst Urgent care I ever went to! The receptionist was very rude as was the doctor. The only person who was nice was the student doctor. I didn’t have the ins they wanted me to have and was treated like I was imposing on them. I’ve had rude people treating me before but this place takes the cake. Once again Premier has shown their ugly head.

We had never been to this urgent care location, but our usual spot was closed. They answered quickly on the phone to verify they were still open and accepted our insurance. When we arrived, parking was convenient and the waiting room was clean and nice. The whole place seemed very well kept. We signed in and completed the paperwork and were seen within about 10 minutes. The nurse practitioner was very friendly and professional. We received a diagnosis and prescription within about 5 to 10 minutes. Highly recommend.

I was a bit upset at first because I thought a made an appointment with a Kettering Health urgent care office. However, I proceeded to go in because I was in pain and needed to resolve my issue. I was pleasantly surprised with the checkin time and the time it took to get called into a room. The office was clean, quiet, and the staff was very friendly, personable, and most importantly professional. I will continue to visit this office when needed and personally recommend this provider.

This is my second visit! I definitely recommend this clinic.  The person who took my culture was very gentle and professional! Super personable as well.  The NP was super nice and had awesome bedside manners.  Ordered my meds for me and I was literally back home within 40mns and I live 15mns away!
