I am leaving 3 stars because I have not had opportunity to meet with this doctor so cannot speak from a clinical experience. I recieved a phone call one week prior to my first appointment to reschedule due to a schedule change on the doctor's end. My experience has been that when a doctor needs to reschedule there is some sense of compassion toward the patient's need to see them, and an effort made to reschedule sooner rather than later. Not this time. I explained that I have dysautonomia and need to be seen due to daily struggles. I was told that, as a new patient, I could not be scheduled for 2+ months. This is after having already waited 2+ months in the first place. Let's just say the lack of effort or even concern expressed did not leave a great impression.

Dr. Mondal is one of the most caring and thorough doctors I have ever met. My current cardiologist is retiring and I had my first meeting with Dr. Mondal yesterday. He spent far more time with me than I ever expected. He patiently, and clearly, answered all my questions. And he asked many questions of his own probing my history, prior treatment, and concerns. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I am editing this to add that I brought 46 printed pages of medical history from my prior cardiologist which I gave to his assistant before seeing him. It was clear based on our conversation and his questions that he had thoroughly reviewed them prior to coming into the exam room. I was quite impressed by this.

Dr. Mondal goes above and beyond what any Cardiologist has ever done to explain not only my heart, he also explained how other organs play a role in the heart function. He is intelligent, kind, caring and non judgmental. By far the best Cardiologist I have ever been to. I am grateful to have found him.

Dr. Mondal saw my developmentally disabled but highly functioning daughter after she had an embolism and was hospitalized. He called our primary doctor before our visit to get her history and discuss her fears. He was kind, patient and explained things to both of us in terms we could understand. Our appointment was the last of the day and he took extra time to calm and reassure her. I cannot speak more highly of him and his caring manner toward her.

Dr. Mondal was simply amazing. He performed emergency surgery for my husband following a heart attack. His attentiveness and care for the patient and the rest of the family was just out of this world. Besides the regular in person visits, he was always available, checking up, and making sure that all our concerns and questions were answered. Would gladly and highly recommend Dr Mondal!
