PM Pediatric Urgent Care

I went this urgent care for a walk in after being recommended by my sons primary care doctors office because they were out for Rosh Hashanah. And can I say I love this Urgent Care office. Upon walking in it was very clean and inviting me and my son loved the safari theme. The staff was so welcoming and polite. It was very easy to sign him in and get seen. Will definitely take me son back here need be.

PM Pediatrics We arrived at 12:30 PM for a 12:45 PM appointment and were not called in until 1:45 PM — a full hour late. If appointments run this far behind, it defeats the purpose of scheduling one in the first place, especially with sick children. There was little communication or explanation for the delay, which made the experience even more frustrating. Very disappointed with the wait time and overall organization. This was not a good experience.

Overall the experience with the doctor was wonderful. My son was there for a possible broken bone in his left foot. She spoke to him very calmly and explained everything. She took X-ray and confirmed a minor broken bone. The only issue was the check in process which can be improved. Had to scan a QR code to fill in the patient info. Filling out the electronic form process could have been better. One example was scanning in insurance card front and back, but then had to also type in insurance card info after was very counterintuitive. There were a few other steps in the form filling process that could have been made the process a lot easier. Overall the time spent at PM Urgent Care for a Monday Night was not bad. The staff and doctors at the Bayside location are always kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. I have as much confidence in them caring for my children as I do my pediatrician that I’ve been with for over a decade. They know their stuff! The one and only complaint I have is that I miss the days of the receptionist checking you in for your appointment. The check in process with the QR code is timely and never seems to go smoothly. Each time it seems to be different what information the system remembers from the last time you did it. Their WiFi isn’t the greatest either so there’s seems to be some connection problems if you’re doing it in office. I wish they would get a kiosk rather than rely on our phones if indeed we’re going to be forced to go digital. I’d prefer they do away with all of it,

I have mixed feelings about our recent visit. On one hand, once we were actually brought inside, the service was fast and excellent. Dr. Priya was incredibly helpful, professional, and provided great care. However, the appointment scheduling system is highly misleading. We booked a 9:15 AM slot and arrived early at 9:08 AM, yet we sat in the lobby for over an hour and weren't seen until 10:30 AM. This isn’t the first time this has happened, and as a family that visits PM Pediatrics several times a year, it’s becoming a pattern. If these slots are actually just for "pre-registration" to save time on paperwork, they should be labeled as such. Calling it an "appointment" sets an expectation that isn't being met.
