Pleasure Island Health Urgent Care Medical Clinic

This office is staffed by an ill-informed doctor and nurse with zero initiative to use their heads or even respond to their patients' questions. I thought I had an UTI and the in-office test showed evidence of an elevated white blood cell count, but the labs came back negative. After the nurse called me with the results, I asked her what else she and the doctor thought could be causing my symptoms. She said they didn't know. Then I called them again and left a message asking if I could have a yeast infection. Long story short - it was - but they never bothered to return my call or to prescribe me anything other than the initial antibiotics - which are ineffective for treating a yeast infection. My advice: don't go to Pleasure Island Health if you need Urgent Care.

Not much of an urgent care. Open 3 days a week and only until 3:00pm. They don’t update their website for “winter” hours so very misleading if you’re looking for treatment. Frustrating.

We came into this urgent care with a serious concern and we pretty scared. We ended up going to the ER. Writing this review because the receptionist was rude and unfriendly, and the nurse was outright nasty. She said she was hoping to treat my husband because it sounded like a “very interesting case” to her. Completely insensitive and unbecoming of anyone in the medical profession. Don’t go here if you prefer to be treated with respect.

After two weeks of pain from my bike accident, I decided to have the urgent care take a look at my wounds. Dr Farmer took over 6 X-rays and was very thorough examining my bruises. Luckily there were no serious injuries and most of my pain was from soft tissues. No cast needed, but I had a list of therapy exercises to follow and layoff riding until things healed. I should have addressed this issue earlier as the wait didn't take long. I was probably in and out in less than one hour. That's with x rays taken and the report back from the radiology. The staff was outstanding. The whole visit experience was outstanding.

I have been seeing Dr Farmer since 2016, hands down the best physician I have ever had. He is always willing to listen and joke around as well.
