This is the absolute BEST vet to bring your pet! Very caring staff, and they are so nice! Dr. Todd and Dot, are amazing! They are very nice and love what they do. Im so happy to have found this clinic for my Bella Mae. Even if you live an hour away, the cost of the appointment will make it worth it...trust me. After years of nearly $600 - $800 vet bills around Wilmington... they are THE BEST! Thank you guys for what you do!

I cannot possibly say enough wonderful things about Pleasure Island. We have been patients for over 10 years. We have now had five dogs in their care, and we have worked with all three vets on staff. Dr. Todd, especially, is caring, compassionate, and listens to your concerns. She has been with us through some of our hardest decisions, and we could not be more grateful. Huge thanks go to our favorite vet tech, too!

I absolutely love Dr. Todd and her staff. They have taken such good care of my dogs, Presley and Waylon. They are extremely kind and caring and make me feel like they love my pet as if they are their own. I would like to give each assistant their own individual compliment because they are all so very kind and genuine. You really couldn’t ask for a better vet experience.

Took my dog in to be spayed here. They were kind at first. We got all the paperwork they needed and did our first wellness/pre-surgery check up. The first thing that caught me off I should have walked out. Was when the vet made rude comments about the dog food we feed. Our 1 year old dog is healthy and maintains her weight. (we even free feed) This vet has no water or food for 12 hours before surgery. Our vet aloud water and gave a prescription for nausea the night before. The day of surgery we brought our poor dehydrated hungry dog in. They called within 3 hours saying she has a stage 3 heart murmur! And would need an EKG that’s $400! Today we have back at our home vet and she’s been spayed without issues. This vet just wanted money. We wasted $250 for that first visit.

Staff and vet were very kind, patient, respectful and knowledgeable. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, staff treated us and our pet with compassion. They made a very difficult situation easier. Thank you so much. ❤️
