Placerville Lotus Massage & Spa

Usually don’t post reviews.. but this place was terrible. The massage was painful (didn’t adjust to feedback) and she burned me with hot rocks. I asked for a 90 min massage but received 75min. Worst part was she rudely included a $25 tip in the credit card swipe, without asking. Insisted I could leave more for tip if I wanted. I’ll never go back here.

I get massages regularly and I know the tipping etiquette. This place is unbelievable. I paid $60 for an hour massage (which was only 50 minutes including dressing and undressing time) I went to pay and told her $74 including tip. She replied $104? I laughed. She insisted I needed to pay at least a $40 tip (66%!) She argued continuously and was rude. Its not like i was leaving 10 or even 15%. Will never return to this place. Had I realized she shorted me 10 plus minutes I would have left $10

Great 90 min deep tissue massage. I recently moved to Placerville and get a massage every week. I was skeptical because they had few reviews. Great facilities and friendly. Price was very good. Therapist was well trained & professional. Don't know how such a tiny person can give such a strong massage for 90 min but she did. I am going back.

I walked-in to Lotus Massage & Spa today to inquire about their massages. They offer a $40 one hour massage for women, so I decided to give them a try. I was hesitant at first, having never been in an establishment like this. I found the massage to be a good value for the money, and all the rooms were prepared and looked very clean. Able was the therapist on duty, and he gave me a firm, deep massage that included lotion, hot towels and stones. He spent a good long time on my back and really worked out all the kinks. I will definitely be back for another massage with Able.

It wasn’t a bad massage, but I wouldn’t come back. They advertise a special on a street sign but told me the person who does that isn’t there, so that was fishy to start. After the massage when I got up and the lights were on I saw small blood stains on the face towel I had my face in, it wasn’t fresh, it was obviously a stain, but still, gross. Then the lady tried to extort me for more tip after I had given her a good tip already. They did give me a little bottle of water at the end, but they were also eager to get me out after the massage, not really giving me a chance to relax after, even though no one else was there. But over all, not good, I wouldn’t recommend or return.
