Piedmont Urgent Care

I scheduled my appointment online after finding the Piedmont Urgent Care on Google Maps. It was super easy to make an appointment and upload all necessary information. I arrived at 5:50 pm for a 6:00 pm appointment; it wasn't super busy, spoke with the receptionist and gave them my name, and went back just after my appointment time! The staff was friendly and very professional. I was seen and met all my needs while I was there and was out in about 47 mins (I had to hang out for ten minutes after getting a shot). Excellent overall and would go back if I ever needed to.

Worst urgent care I’ve ever been to. I was sent here for workers comp care. They don’t answer the phones, they schedule you for follow up appointments but don’t put the time on the paperwork nor inform you of the time until the day before via text and they are inconsistent with that! The front desk is unprofessional. I had to tell the guy who works the front desk to call me to the desk if he has questions for me instead of yelling his question out in the lobby in front of everyone. “What department do you work in?!” Maybe I don’t want other people knowing that especially since most of my job is treated there. I am not saying he is violating HIPAA or anything, it’s just unprofessional. I had an appointment today 2/25 scheduled for 3pm; I arrived at 2:50pm and ended up walking out at 4:50pm

I came in with a sore throat and headache on Tuesday. Instead of doing separate swabs in each nostril for Covid and the flu, they did a singular THROAT swab to test for strep, RSV, Covid, and the flu. All came back negative. On Thursday, I wake up with worse symptoms, including body aches and chills. I went to a different Piedmont Urgent Care (Dunwoody) and they did two distinct, unique swabs, in each nostril, for Covid and Flu. Flu type A came back positive. Now, I’ve potentially infected my parents, who are in their 60s, and coworkers because of the incompetency at the Hapeville Piedmont Urgent Care. Worth mentioning too is that the NP who saw me, Katelynn Little. was rude. She should have ordered a different diagnostic test (e.g. a nose swab), and she should know better. I try to trust

I’ve been coming here for nearly two months for a work injury and it’s ALWAYS slow. The pleasant nature of the staff has made me overlook that, but today is just ridiculous!! First of all, the provider keeps requiring me to come back for a weekly re-check even though I have not been able to get the WC Adjuster to schedule the test that was ordered to confirm or rule out my issues. I have been given a set appointment. I sat in the lobby and watched people get serviced before me who came in after me. THREE HOURS later I am still sitting here and haven’t seen the provider, who is the only provider on duty (likely due to restrictions from the corporate bureaucrats running the Piedmont engine putting profits over patient care - JMO) I was about to just leave without seeing the provider because

Arrived at 3:04 for my 3p.m. appt. After completing the paperwork waited only 15 mins. Staff was pleasant and very mindful of my current medical treatment, insuring that nothing they prescribed conflicted. Given a chest exam, followed by a nebulizer. Prescribed a non-steroidal z-pac. I felt extremely confident in the knowledge and wisdom of the staff I encountered, from the moment I walked in, to the moment I walked out. The most pleasant visit I've ever had at an UrgentCare. Highly recommend.
