Piedmont Urgent Care

New establishment. Located across the street from QT gas station. LA Fitness and Wendy’s sit directly behind it. This use to be the Fungmae restaurant. Clean. Good customer service. Plenty of parking. Walking are accepted. Can make your appointment online. Can also complete your registration online if you want the process to move more quickly.

The facility was very clean, and the people were friendly and very helpful! The testing was very thorough, and they were able to supply us with the medication that was needed right there at the urgent care, without having to go to a pharmacy, for a very very reasonable cost (15 dollars)! There was also no wait on a Sunday. The cost for the visit was 210 dollars, right before we were taken in by the nurse. (I really like that, no surprise costs to be mailed later on.) Everything went smoothly.

I visited Piedmont Urgent Care this morning feeling absolutely terrible, and from the moment I walked in, I was met with warmth and compassion. The front desk staff could immediately tell I was very ill and did everything they could to get me seen as quickly as possible. Every staff member I encountered had excellent bedside manners and made me feel genuinely cared for. I don’t recall the nurse practitioner’s name, but she was incredibly kind, attentive, and thorough. The aftercare treatment she recommended is already working wonders, and I’m slowly starting to feel better. I’m truly grateful for the level of care and professionalism shown here.

⭐️ 1 Star — Very Disappointing Experience I had a very upsetting experience at this urgent care in Duluth when my mother went in to be treated for what were clearly sinus infection symptoms — runny nose with yellowish-green mucus and a foul odor that had been going on for about 3 weeks after starting with a cough. She tested positive for COVID at the visit, but the nurse practitioner by the name of Hugh Maxwell insisted she could not have COVID and a sinus infection at the same time, which is simply not accurate. He was dismissive and rude, refused antibiotics at first, and only agreed after we insisted — but with the stipulation she couldn’t start them for two days. He also told my mother she didn’t know what she was talking about because she isn’t in the medical field. When I explained

I had an appointment scheduled for 11:00 a.m., and although my wait time was longer than expected due to short staffing and only one provider available, it was truly worth the wait. The provider and nursing staff were exceptionally kind, professional, and attentive. The nurses were always ready to assist and support the provider, demonstrating great teamwork despite the high volume of patients. Throughout the busy environment, they remained positive, patient, and compassionate. I arrived barely able to stand on my leg due to a cyst, and the provider took the time to thoroughly assess my condition, provide care, and refer me to a specialist. I am extremely thankful and grateful for the care and dedication shown by this entire team.
