Piedmont Pediatrics

My experience with my two children has been very good. Two different doctors, and both of them have been wonderful — loving, caring, and always available for any questions or concerns. I would definitely recommend this place for your kids :)

This pediatrician is great as long as nothing is actually wrong with your child. The doctors and NPs are all overly conservative in their approaches to pediatric care, even when doing proper testing has zero ill effect, and would only benefit the child in determining cause of symptoms. After taking my son here for 3.5 years, since moving to Warrenton, we are finding another provider in order to obtain proper care. Also, if you ask the nurse a question, they'll make you come in for an appointment, pay your copay and get their insurance payment, and do absolutely nothing about your child's problem. Beware.

Everyone from the front receptionists to the nurses (esp. Lucero) to Dr. Chalmeta , Dr. Bowee, Dr. Rustom are amazing, friendly, very competent, encouraging, and kind. All of our visits (well check or sick) have been consistently positive and effective. We really appreciate how well they treat our children, not only medically, but emotionally.

I have been going here since I was a child and I have always loved the doctors and nurses. However, I can not for the life of me understand why I have to wait so damn long for someone to pick up the phone. I have been first in line and on hold for over an HOUR. I am convinced that the front desk staff does absolutely nothing. It pains me to leave such a poor review because this is where I have been going for 22 years. Again, the doctors are great but I can't even get to them if nobody picks up the phone. Every time I call, I end up waiting around 20-30 minutes, and sometimes the call even gets disconnected—but being on hold for over an entire hour is absolutely unacceptable.

Giving 3 starts because we LOVE Dr. Chalmeta and Dr. Jakum. Dr. Chalmeta’s nurse is amazing but everyone else is so rude. There used to be a receptionist, I believe she was Hispanic and I LOVED her as well. Nicest girl, always was friendly, very professional and helpful. They have a new young receptionist that has given me attitude and issues the past 2 appointments. If my son is coming in for some kind of bug bite, why do we need to sit on the sick side? I understand we thought it could be ringworm but guess what? It wasn’t. Instead we had to sit on the sick side with my 2 year old son and 2 month old daughter. I could go on about the problems I had with today’s appointment. If we are scheduled at a certain time, why do we constantly have to wait an extra 30 minutes? I understand doctors
