Piedmont Macon

This is the probably the worst emergency room experience I’ve had in my 57 years. Nursing staff of 3 that I counted for the entire ER. I’m not talking about techs and other hospital staff. Outside of the four hours I waited to see a doctor, there was zero communication after that with her until I left. The nurse I had was nice but she couldn’t attend to her patients. Patients everywhere lined up on beds against the walls, other patients that would roam the hall, etc. in the entire ER and rooms there are TV’s and not a single one working for the people or patients waiting. The staff were great! The hospital management needs better management that takes care of the hospital and the emergency department. Also was left with a gift of a bad stomach virus. Do better.

I want to personally say thank you to every Piedmont ER staff members that care for me today. Everyone did an amazing job from the check in staff, registration (telephone), xray/CT staff, nurses (day shift and Olivia) and Dr. Weekes. I felt a different atmosphere as soon as I entered to check in, the staff they have here now in the EC are so courteous and professional&I felt like I was in the best hands. I sincerely don't take greatness for granted. Thanks to you all and keep up the amazing work.

My mother was transferred from our local hospital in Dublin, GA to Piedmont Hospital (December 10, 2025) for an emergency, unplanned surgery. The entire clinical staff was excellent and highly professional. My mother's attending physician was in her room doing an evaluation within 15 minutes of her admission into her room. The doctor conducted a clinical evaluation and re-assured my mother and me that he would alleviate her pain with a surgery later that day. The surgery was a complete success and my mother's pain from 6 days was immediately relieved with the surgery. The med-surg nurse assigned to her room after the surgery did an EXCEPTIONAL job and we truly thank her and the team. I got transferred here from Peach County Hospital and I was here for 3 days because of a bowel obstruction. This hospital by far is the best in Middle Georgia. While I was there the entire staff treated me with top tier service and with the respect and they all had the best bedside manners. God forbid if I have to be hospitalized again but if that is the case then I know what Hospital I want to be in. Big thanks to entire staff for the care and compassion that I received. P.S. They also have the prettiest nurses too. 😆

I went to the ER after car accident. Injuries and pain was explained. Once I received my file, everything I told the Doctor was documented incorrectly and opposite of what was said. I mentioned my right side, she put left. I mentioned my back, she documented my neck. Not sure what this was about but it was very unprofessional. I'm just happy I was able to get scans done elsewhere and received a proper diagnosis.
