Physicians Regional - Pine Ridge

There are some outstanding Physicians and nurses working at this hospital. But the operations of this hospital could be better managed by 5 year old. I had surgery here and I would never recommend this place to anyone. H&P I was advised by the hospital two months in advance that it would be conducted at the hospital the day prior to surgery. The day prior I showed but was required to register again (second time registering as the first was done over the phone 3 days prior including a 100% deductible payment) and they wanted wanted more money beyond my already paid deductible. Just getting started here. I refused that payment and demanded a receipt from my prior pmt. That seemed to hush things up. After an hour I was then called back for the H&P- pretty standard EKG and blood tests

Incredible experience from start to finish! Dr. Mansson (a genius surgeon) performed robotic surgery on my right inguinal hernia and put in a mesh to repair it (I had a mesh put in on a left inguinal hernia 10 years ago in Chicago, they are fantastic). Everyone of the staff there are incredible, Nikky, and especially Jamie, are exceptional in my mind (hugs to you all!). For he short time I was there, I watched the staff in the pre-op room moving around in a determined professional manner, replacing used medical equipment in every nook and cranny, checking on, speaking with (to verify pertinent information) and making every single patient comfortable. I cannot even begin to say enough from start to finish about my amazing care at Physicians regional last week… End of February 2026. I called the ER on the way to inquire about wait time and spoke to a very friendly receptionist. Arrived and Was ushered back into the ED within minutes. Unfortunately, I did not take note of everyone’s names. Within 45 minutes I had Labs drawn, saw the ER doc, whisked off for a CT scan and IV inserted. Unfortunately, with the results coming back from the lab work, I had to be admitted and was admitted to room 472. My nurses were amazing as were the LPNs and MA’s. Our visit to this facility was great. The staff and nurses were very friendly and welcoming. Elianis RIll PA-C was wonderful, she read my reports before she came into see me. She answered all questions and helped me a lot. She is going to be a wonderful practitioner.

I want to recognize the employees that made my experience a comfortable and positive one. Jose in the Pre-op was not only professional and by the way great at starting IVs but a very kind nurse. He knew I was anxious and took the time to talk to me in a very fast paced environment. I really appreciated that. It means so much to a patient (Im also a nurse) when you recognize that someone might need some reassurance and compassion. I also have to say the same things about the Nurse Anesthetist. His name was Dan. Again, re reassured me, let me position myself prior to my procedure, and shared some valuable information with me.
