Phoenix of Fairlawn

My mother was a patient for a little over two weeks. She was recovering from a fall. She was very pleased with the therapy program they designed for her and the length and frequency of her therapy sessions. The staff at Phoenix of Fairlawn are attentive and friendly and did their best to help my mom feel at home during her stay and we felt comfortable visiting her at any time she was there. The director of Phoenix visited her soon after her arrival and checked in with her from time to time while she was there. I was surprised by that level of attention.

My 84yr old friend was here for 16 days of rehab from ankle surgery and had a very positive experience. The staff was extremely kind and helpful including the owner.He received excellent care, with all his wishes met in a timely manner. His room was very large and quiet. Everywhere in the facility it was clean.No nasty smells. The rehab team did a great job, he enjoyed working with them. The food here tasted good, with Lisa the director of nutrition going above and beyond to accommodate my friends food requests.I would definitely recommend Phoenix of Fairlawn for anyone in need of rehab or special care.

My wife was recently admitted to Phoenix of Fairlawn for a short-term stay following major surgery. Our expectations were high and they were definitely met. We visited her daily at different times. The nursing home is clean with no odors and the employees who work here definitely seem like they enjoy working here. Everyone treated my wife and all our family like we were a part of their family! My wife was in a large private room with lots of privacy for visits. She received therapy daily and all the therapy staff were great. She loved them all. The nurses and aides were caring and took great care of her. Administration checked on her daily to make sure all her needs were met. My mom needed rehab after a fall and subsequent broken arm. I decided on Phoenix of Fairlawn d/t the great reviews and bc I was able to speak with her case manager prior to her admission. My mom was able to get back to walking and although one arm was still broken she learned how to adjust and use her left arm. The staff was wonderful, my mom really enjoyed her rehab. The administrator stopped by almost daily to say hi to my mom and check on her, her case manager kept us abreast of things and worked hard to make sure my mom got the rehab time she needed when her insurance company was ready to discharge her. The building and the patient rooms were clean. The nurse assistants were kind and respectful with pleasant dispositions. When I or my mom had any questions, we received answers promptly

As an occupational therapist who has worked in facilities throughout Northeast Ohio, I have seen the best and worst skilled facilities. Phoenix of Fairlawn is among the best facilities for patient care, cleanliness, therapy, and compassion. I was prepared to make my presence known to assure my mother received the care she needed and deserved, but my concerns dissipated once I realized she would be well cared for. Mom liked the staff, activities, and therapy. She especially liked visits from Bruce! I am thankful for her care and contentment during her stay, and for my peace of mind that she was in good hands.
