Phillips Eye Clinic: Phillips Chuck OD

My sister-in-law recently had a deeply upsetting experience with the receptionist at Phillips Eye Clinic. As a non-native English speaker, she was outright discriminated against during their phone call. When she struggled with English, the receptionist was impatient and dismissive. She ultimately refused to provide service, bluntly stating that they wouldn't help her at their clinic because she did not speak English well. This left her feeling humiliated and marginalized. Healthcare providers should be inclusive and supportive, especially in a diverse community. Unfortunately, this was not her experience. I hope the clinic addresses this issue and ensures their staff treats all patients with respect, regardless of their language skills. I cannot recommend Phillips Eye Clinic to anyone. I

So I never had a bad experience in this place, but my wife just told me that they denied her service just because they couldn't understand her pronunciation, my wife's been working with English speaking bosses here in midland since 6 yrs ago and they never had a problem with the way she pronounces words. What's difficult about an eye exam??? She ain't going for an interview, she just wants an eye exam... She knows how to properly pronunce letters, fill up forms, she has done it before at that place, so why now??. Eventually I would start going somewhere else

I am highly disappointed and honestly shocked I was denied medical treatment today by Dr Phillips. I was involved in a domestic incident with an obsessed Ex boyfriend that was waiting for me outside of a restaurant on Friday and he punched me in the eye. I have concerns that this may have caused permanent damage due to the fact I can’t see out of my eye. It’s very bruised, swollen and every blood vessel in my eye is busted. I was referred to him by my own doctor and when I explained how I received my injury, he closed my chart and told me “ I don’t get Involved in cases like this and I don’t go to court.” No compassion whatsoever!!! I’m honestly disgusted by his lack of empathy and the fact he wouldn’t even do a simple eye exam! Unbelievable! I do not recommend!

The office staff of Dr. Phillips is incompetent and unprofessional. They are liars, lazy and have no clue what they are doing. I do not recommend Dr. Phillips Eye Clinic Chuck OD at all and it will be the last time my family ever uses his services. I will make sure to rate him low every time I have an opportunity! PERIOD!

Dr. Phillips is awesome! He so friendly and gets you in and out. He is very good with our 12 daughter too.
