Pharmacy | Kaiser Permanente Lakewood Medical Office

I’m really impressed with the staff at this location. I had some issues with the southwest pharmacy this week, so I called and explained it to the Lakewood location last night and within two hours they had my medication filled and were very kind and reassuring.

The staff at this Kaiser pharmacy are the best, bar none! My gosh, what haven't they helped me with?! The Pharmacists will explain my prescriptions (so I can understand), and have been my advocates speaking to other doctors; they have caught prescription errors too. The staff at the counters are SO nice and respectful and patient and smart! This pharmacy really performs!

Dear Kaiser Permanente Customer Service, I am writing to formally express my concern regarding the unprofessional and rude behavior I experienced at the Kaiser Permanente Lakewood pharmacy on March 8, 2025, at 10:31 AM. During my visit, I encountered pharmacy staff who were dismissive and unhelpful when I asked for assistance. Their tone was impatient and condescending, making the experience frustrating and unpleasant. As a patient, I expect to be treated with professionalism and respect, and this interaction fell far below that standard. I love Kaiser, love their pharmacy too. The only reason I don't give this review 5 stars is because I was provided a prescription to be used as explicitly directed 24 hours before a procedure and no one could provide those directions and I currently can not get into my kp.org account. It was frustrating and ended up not completely ready for the procedure.

Most times my experience here is good, the staff is friendly & perform their jobs well. My reason for 3 not 5 stars, is due primarily to 1 pharmacist. I’ve written 1 review in my life & I'm not young. This pharmacist caused so much anxiety, 2 days of stress attempting to fill a prescription, that I’m writing my 2nd review. I’m not including her name & that’s a kindness on my part that really is not deserved. She must believe she is more important than doctors who prescribe the medication that she dispenses. It’s not easy to talk to someone in Kaiser Departments. Once I finally got a message to my doctor about her interference in refilling my prescription, that I’ve taken for over a decade, he had to re-do his work to get her hands out if it!
