Cannot say enough positive things about Dr. McGowan and his team. Dr. McGowan is truly a world-class surgeon who handled my very complex 2 stage surgery like it was routine. He spent a surprising amount of time with me leading up to surgery, never felt rushed and he answered every question I threw at him. He was supremely confident in his ability to help me and explained everything I was going to go through. He even ran into a surprise while in the procedure and didn’t skip a beat. Dr. McGowan consulted with me for 6 mos prior to moving forward with my L5/S1 fusion. He was respectful and NO pressure during this time while we tried nonsurgical procedures. When those didn't work, he had his scheduler call and schedule me with a reasonable wait period the next month. I highly recommend Dr. McGowan to any patient in need of spine surgery.
