Please fix the information center for patients. I never experienced such disorganization in a state of the art health care facility. I was directed to five different department with my aging mother having back pain and having to walk with me through this maze of craziness. First the security that checks you in told us to go to the second floor and cross over the bridge to the Perlman center where you meet with a second security desk where we were directed to go down stairs and to the left once we got there the receptionist took our info and said go to the right once we got in that area and they took our name and info we were directed to go to the second floor right went to the right nice young lady took our info and said go to the left hallway went to the left first room found the receptio

My review goes for the Perelman Center and all of Upenn. I have seen a lot of doctors over the years, including at other higher level hospitals, and none come close to the caliber of Upenn. The doctors I have seen not only are medically advanced, they listen to patients and care. Care is performed with the medical directness needed especially in complex cases, but it is always paired with a humanistic manner and that is something I truly think Upenn deserves an award on. Also important to note, is that other aspects of Upenn have been phenomenal too. This is the only hospital/organization that has always billed the correct insurance. I only have one procedure done here. All of the staff and service people were very helpful and respectful. The individuals in the clinic I went to were super chill. It is obvious that they are big on respecting people's privacy. In addition, they take serious the issue of the checking to make sure that you are the proper person receiving services. I have spent few months going back and forth to the Perelman center. All of my expresses happen positive. If you do not show up on time expect to receive a call. The hospital is fully accessible and offers underground parking for people needing it. If you are having any type surgery they will request that you park underneath the building. My daughter and I have a way of describing interactions with doctors using PENN as the standard. We describe a physician encounter as a "PENN physician experience". Most of our encounters are with PENN physicians, but not all, and there is a decided difference, particularly in downtown doctors. PENN physicians are amazing communicators, and go to great lengths to answer questions in an understandable way. They're not rushed, generally amiable, and follow up very reliably. I always opt to be treated by a PENN doctor.

Came here for my husband's MRI. We parked in the underground building but I saw they had valet which is really nice as well. The MRI area was right on the first floor which was so nice, not having to navigate the building. Even though we were on time, he waited over 1 hour past the appointment time to be called in. Just outside the doors there's plenty of food options which was nice since we were there so long. (Starbucks, Panera)
