I’ve had a lot of family cared for in this hospital and I am always so grateful for the amazing staff. Everyone from the front desk people to the doctors, PCTs & nurses are so kind and consistently go above and beyond. I’ve spent a lot of time in hospitals and I’ve never been to one that was this great every single time. I wanted to shout out my brother in law’s nurse, Mick on the 6th floor. He was so understanding, kind, light-hearted and attentive. He even stayed after his shift to make sure my brother was taken care of before he left & to answer any questions we had left. Thank you everyone for all that you do ♥️

My wife and I came to the hospital today, February 2, 2026 for have her third surgery in 3 years. The surgeons are great! The staff and nursing are also good, our problem is that it past 9:30 at night and my wife has not received her dinner meal, she has not eaten in over 24 hours We found that Aramark took over the cafeteria and food services today, after being awarded the contract in October. Let me be very honest, we are not at Phillies or flyers game. We are at the Hospital who has a great reputation for care. Why would you think bringing in overpriced 4” cheesesteaks and cold pizza would enhance the reputation. It was embarrassing to watch over a dozen Aramark executives gloat over the new kiosks and the lack of selection in the cafeteria. Now they can’t even get food to th

The nurses and OB/GYN staff at Penn are truly amazing. From the moment I arrived, clearly in the midst of contractions, they took exceptional care of both me and my newborn. I feel so fortunate for the birthing experience I had and hope others get the same. The nurses were attentive, thoughtful, and made our nights there comfortable and reassuring. The private rooms were a great size, and the flow from triage to labor to recovery felt smooth and well-paced—we never felt rushed or overlooked. As first-time parents, the support and resources we received were invaluable, and I’m incredibly grateful for everything they did.

Right after major abdominal surgery, with my immune system severely compromised from cancer treatment and the procedure itself, I was placed in a small shared “recovery” room—not with other post-op patients, but with homeless individuals struggling with active drug addiction. These roommates were not recovering from surgery; they appeared to have been brought in for drug related issues or acute complications from substance use. The staff administered narcotics, antibiotics, and Narcan as needed, then quickly discharged them once stabilized. Meanwhile, I was left in close quarters with people actively dealing with withdrawal, erratic behavior, and who knows what exposures—right next to my surgical wounds in a cramped space with limited privacy. Hospitals have infection control protocols f

I am extremely concerned and disappointed with the way I was treated while my brother was receiving care at Pennsylvania Hospital. The charge nurse did not introduce herself at any point, and the communication board in the room did not list the nurse’s name, which is a basic standard for patient transparency and safety. When the nurse saw me, I was immediately sent to the waiting room without any explanation of why or what the next steps were for my brother’s care, despite the fact that we are waiting on a transfer. Family members deserve to be informed, not dismissed especially during critical and stressful moments. In addition, I was told I could not spend the night, yet the waiting room contains a bed, which added to the confusion and inconsistency in communication. Most concerning,
