Penn Medicine | Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Specialty Hospital

I had been diagnosed with GBS and had to come to penn medicine rehabilitation the Good shepherd, and they were amazing the people the staff even though it was hard for me as to my recovery but the environment they put out I was able to recover miss them everyday. Thanks guys!!!

I went to this Good Shepherd facility several years ago for therapy for rotator cuff injury, and was pleased with my experience. The atmosphere is pleasant, yet professional, and well equipped for a variety of physical therapy needs. The therapists were very nice, and explained the routines very clearly and told me how each one helped and strengthen my shoulder. I was also given exercises to do at home, to supplement what I did during my visits.

I can’t say enough good things about the treatment my husband received while at Good Shepherd from the entire staff (respiratory, nurses, CNAs, doctors and speech therapy, PT, OT). His primary reason for being transferred from the hospital was for vent weaning. In the process of vent weaning he had other medical issues that the staff diagnosed and immediate interventions were put in place. Having a loved one in the hospital is draining on the family but we knew when we left at night he was being well taken care of. The daily updates we received from the physicians was very reassuring and again we can’t thank the staff enough for the care that he received.

I spent almost a month in the facility following a Transplant @The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania a little over a year ago. I was very hesitant when my surgeons told me but it was the best decision they ever made. Not only did they treat you with care and respect they made you feel like you were part of their family. I had some rough times but the entire staff was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. My physical therapist (Christine) my occupational therapist (Meghan) were true angels. They worked tirelessly to get me walking and well functioning normally and for that I'm forever grateful. To this day I still stay in contact with both, that's what makes these group of hardworking dedicated professionals the best anywhere. I wouldn't have made it through without all of them.
