My husband went to the ER on a Friday evening for chest pains. They took him back immediately. The quick care he received saved his life. He had a major heart attack and had they not of acted as quickly as they did he would not be here today. Yes he had to stay all weekend before getting a catheterization (cath lab opened on Monday) but the way they took care of him and made sure he was okay until he could have the catheterization was phenomenal!! The Catheterization showed major blockages in four arteries and they said he would need a quadruple bypass. He was able to pick the hospital he wanted. They helped him with giving us the information we needed to decided. He was life flighted that night to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. His surgery was done on Tuesday. I am so thank

Went in to the ER on Sunday December 7th with severe abdominal pain. This turned out to be appendicitis. The whole ER staff was amazing the whole time I was in the ER. When I was finally transferred up to a room the surgical staff and nurses were also amazing. This is the first time I've ever had great care at this hospital even when it was J.C Blair. I was very impressed.

My doctor ordered a ultrasound for me at this place and with setting up the appointment I got 11 phone calls from them reminding me I need to pay the full amount at my appointment (I have no insurance) I was ok with paying 500+ for a 5min job and they acted like they was kings because they was giving me a discount the way the 11th call went(day before my app.) they acted like they already had my bill in the system and I needed to pay it before I even came to the appointment (BS) went to the appointment paid the bill in full didn't hear from my doctor called him said he never got the ultrasound I call Penn highlands huntingdon I get no answer about it called my doctor back and he's able to get it after another 2 days and let's me know the results then in 3 more weeks I get a bill from highl

They have a select few staff who are phenomenal, but a majority are just awful. I overheard what I believed to be administration staff talking poorly about other staff out in public areas. She mentioned a director being awful, but needed someone to fill a spot so she didn't have to deal with it. I don't know names, but the one lady was skinny, long brownish hair, way too much makeup, and bad lip injections. I was going to the lab when I overheard this. I'm concerned that her conversations should be maybe more private. I'm appalled that one would talk about someone like that too.

My rating reflects a most unprofessional and misleading experience with billing and the Penn Highlands Huntingdon website. I, as an uninsured adult, accessed the good faith estimate tool on the website as part of my research to find an economical choice in the area for my needed testing. I also spoke to the billing office prior to scheduling to make certain that the good faith estimate was correct. I was reassured that it was. I then, after my testing, received a bill for twice the cost of the good faith estimate. When reaching out to the billing office, I was flatly told there was nothing that could be done. I then contacted a patient advocate and was subsequently called by a the Huntingdon billing representative who dismissed my concerns, told me the "good faith tool" on their webs
