Pelican Preserve Dental Care

Very good dentist and hygienist staff. I cannot say the same thing about front desk and scheduling. On Jan 7th, they begged me to move my appointment to from Fri the 9th to Thu the 8th. When I went in at 7am on the 8th with my new insurance, they said it was not active yet and the insurance office did not open until 8. They did not have any appts later in the day nor on my original date of the 9th. They rescheduled me for Mar 6th. I called them with the number to reach my insurance to get the new info as it was active. I went in for my appt on Mar 6th, and now they claim I have no appt in the system. I will find someone new after three years.

After a recent cleaning, my hygienist (who is amazing at his job), introduced me to one of the new Dr's which is Dr. Moitoso. He explained the potential plan moving forward with a new Dentist in this practice. I've been going here for several years and on my first visit with Dr. M, I left with the reassurance and confidence I was in the right hands for future treatment. Dr. M took time to listen and explain in detail my future treatment plan. At my first appointment, he explained things as he was doing them and made sure I was numb before starting my procedures making a dreaded appointment go MUCH better than expected ! Dentist and hygienist were excellent! Calm, explained procedure and aftercare really well. A little issue with follow up scheduling but I likely contributed to that. Overall great visit for emergency extraction. Dave K.

This is a practice with honesty and integrity. They dont try to sell you a bunch of crap your dont need, and they give appropriate referrals. Their staff is always nice and professional, and you (usually) dont spend a long time in the waiting room. I am glad they are within a bikes ride away from my house.

A patient since the doors opened approximately 4 yrs ago. Could not tell you who my exact dentist was. She never identified herself and barely spoke English. I was informed after my unpleasant experience on Dec 3, 25 she’s gone. This is another corporate facility under Great Expressions based in MI. Very nice, new and welcoming but what is behind the bells and whistles . . . the number one goal, profit! How? UPSELL. If you are someone who believes everything a doctor says, you might find this office for you. If you deny a suggested service such as a ‘deep cleaning’ you might be turned away as I was. I was told by my ortho surgeon for hip replacement and former dentist of 35 years to avoid deep cleaning due to infection risk. I simply communicated I would prefer a regular cleaning as I do 2
