the doctor Megan is amazing, but the main receptionist (older lady with the straight black hair) is a huge roadblock for this office. she has absolutely zero customer service skills, always has an attitude over the phone and in person, doesn’t greet patients or instruct them on what to do when they come in, and tries to argue when you are asking for a message to be sent to your doctor. I worked as a medical receptionist for seven years and can not believe that she’s still working here honestly. kindness and humanity is extremely important in patient care and that all starts at the front desk, setting the tone for a patients visit. everyone else i’ve interacted with at this office is lovely. i’ve avoided leaving a review about this receptionist in the past hoping to give her the benefit of

The lady at the front desk always needs to have a stick up her But about everything. They make you come in for an appointment just to get a referral. They don’t know how to keep track of documents or find them. The physicians also come and go because they’re doing their rotations. They only have one real doctor there. I don’t recommend this place.

The older woman at the front desk with glasses is very rude and unwelcoming. The doctors can be anxiety inducing for many individuals so to have this sort of attitude while working front desk is extremely unprofessional!

I am very disappointed by Pelican Medical. I have been refused bloodwork twice, and the last time I ended up in the hospital later with a 4 hemoglobin. And after two transfusions and two iron infusions, I left with an 8. My records clearly show I need bloodwork done at least once a year, but zero care given. When they had an office at monkey junction I never had an issue. They always took good care of me. And yes I told Amy I was hospitalized last time. Zero

Updated: After a scheduled follow up appointment to my original first visit I decided that Pelican Family Medicine was the absolute right choice for my primary care physician. In my opinion they have a concerned and interested staff, professional and welcoming disposition, while remaining professional and following through as much as should be expected and I thank them for their effort. Pelican Family was chosen as my primary provider by default. Having not found occasion to visit a doctor in many years I made an appointment and met their medical staff. I found all of their employees to be enthusiastic, friendly, fun, and professional. I am glad that I decided to make the visit and begin the journey of medical care for myself to ensure my health stays as good as it is now for many yea
