Took our child here for a urological surgical consultant on a kidney mass, being clear with the woman we scheduled with that we needed a pediatric urologist for a kidney tumor removal. They insisted that we pay up front for the visit, $505. We did due to a desire for more information to ease our worries about our kiddo potentially having cancer. We got a visit quickly. But the surgeon promptly told us that he virtually never performed partial nephrectomies and shouldn't be our surgeon for that reason, referring us back to a clinic that we'd already been referred to. He gave us a personal referral that got us in quicker, but it wasn't with a pediatric urologist. This review is based upon my experience with the billing department. This included up-coding the initial consult. I refuted the charge. The result included this office adjusting the billing code and me receiving multiple bills after the fact that had not been re-processed by insurance. I would call billing department to discuss and they would tell me to wait for a new bill. Same cycle x 3 and each time I would get a new bill that never changed and each bill threatened to send to collections. I finally paid the balance and then insurance reprocessed more after the fact. This led to me receiving another bill after paying the final balance. When I called to ask why, I would be told “let me look into it I will get back to you” and never hear back. Dr willingham Lawson recommended surgery for our son to correct kidney reflux. She was difficult to communicate with and pediatric surgical associates answering machine service is somewhat of a joke. We opted to get a second opinion from a pediatric urologist from mayo. Super easy to deal with, easy to understand. They assured us that there was absolutely zero reason to get surgery at this point. My child ended up in the ER after his surgery and the Surgeon (once he felt like paying attention) had horrible bed side manor. I would never recommend this clinic to anyone. Thier way of handling an infant's emergency situation was very improper and unacceptable! They obviously do not take the 5% risk factor into any consideration! Extremely disappointed in their care as a whole.

We worked with Dr. Willingham Lawson. Awesome doctor and she did a surgery on my son. Great bedside manner. I would work with her again any day.
