Pediatric Dentistry-Nw Indiana

I went here when I was younger and they were evil. I was getting a filling at about 6 years old, and I started crying because the numbing hadn’t fully set in, and the assistant told me to stop crying or she’d make it worse. There’s a reason this place is voted 2.6 stars. They were never comforting and genuinely enjoyed seeing children in distress. Do not bring your kids here. This place needs to be shut down immediately. If I could vote 0 stars I would.

After 10 years im no longer bringing my children here. They used to be great, but something changed. The staff is horribly rude and shame you. The final straw was them traumatizing my 5 year old by holding her down while she cried and screamed for me and they never even came and got me or even mentioned she had to be restrained. Now shes terrified to go to the dentist.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This dentist office is like something out of the 1920s… Their equipment is ancient, their facility needs upgrading, and the staff was anything but good with children. I couldn’t even believe how little the assistants and Dr.Nickerson tried to soothe my scared child. I told them ahead of time that my 6 year old daughter has a fear of the dentist. The lady that assisted us was rude, didn’t even say hello to my daughter or try to make her feel comfortable, tried to take her back alone (despite me telling her that she was frightened) and then immediately suggested the other assistants hold her down if she would have a problem with them doing the exam without even trying to talk to my daughter or make her feel comfortable. DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE!! front desk ladies are great but all other doctors should not be working with children! they have toys laying on the chairs but don’t allow the children to touch them claims they’re for “looks only”, held my son down who is two years old after i repeatedly told them they did not need to he would open his mouth voluntarily! then continued to look at his teeth NOT EVEN 10 seconds before sending us on our way. the whole office is dingy no way it’s sanitary at all. also i’ve heard if ur kid is over 2/3 parents are NOT aloud to be with them during the exams tons of red flags and sketchy

I’m rating 1 star for Dr. Nickerson today was the second time he’s been rude to my child it just does not make any sense to me, if children annoy you then maybe you should not be a pediatric Dentist. Today my daughter said he did not wait till the numbing effect went into place with the gel and that he just stuck the needle in place and when she mentioned her cheek still had feeling he pretty much did not care and he did not make any small talk with her what so ever and when she would wine in pain he would tell her to stop it a million times in a rudely manner.
