Pediatric Associates of Richmond

We love seeing NP Lauren Freeman and have for years. She is kind, caring, thoughtful in her approach, and very knowledgeable. I have always appreciated that she validates not only my feelings as a parent, but my daughter’s feelings during the appointment as well. We have seen several great doctors for sick visits over the years, but we recently saw Dr Panicker and were very impressed. She was so kind and it felt like she was genuinely concerned with getting to the bottom of what was going on. Definitely a great addition to the team!

I’ve had a great experience with the PAR team over 16 years. My kids have always been able to get same-day care when needed, and the Saturday hours and responsive on-call service were especially helpful when they were younger. The trade-off of having such a large team is a bit less continuity of care, since each provider has a different style—but you’ll find your favorites over time. They’re a very conventional, evidence-based practice, but were flexible with us on vaccine scheduling after a few mild reactions. My children are now fully vaccinated, and I appreciated their willingness to work with our comfort level.

We’ve been going to Pediatric associates of Richmond for 6 years, since birth with my two boys and have had a wonderful experience. Whenever I call, they answer promptly to messages left on the nurse line and their on call service after hours. Their front desk staff is professional and helpful everytime I need help with insurance details or getting forms signed promptly for school or sports. During times of crisis where my son had complications due to prematurity, they were compassionate and provided us the referrals to wonderful specialists and very organized follow up for treatment plans. We see Dr McIntosh and he is amazing. He’s personable, thorough, and knowledgable. My daughter is now 9 and we’ve been with this group from the beginning of our parenting journey. No other group to compare to but I can’t think of a single complaint. Everyone is always wonderful- docs nurses and the rest of the staff. Making appointments is easy as well. When I’ve called with concerns a team member always gets back to us in a timely fashion and directs us appropriately. I’m speaking as a physician myself who has had less than stellar experiences navigating my own medical needs. If only they saw adults too. 🤗

PAR has been a great partner as our kids have grown. The doctors are kind and attentive and I’ve never had an issue getting an appointment during acute matters when we call as soon as the line is open. You usually have to wait but eventually you get through. I really appreciate their after hours on call service that we used once or twice along with them having Saturday sick appointments.
