PDX Acupuncture at La Shala Well

To start, I’m 33 weeks pregnant and have suffered from chronic rib pain for the last 3.5 months. I visited the chiropractor twice a week for 6 weeks to address my rib concerns with little to no improvement and had to sleep on our couch basement if I wanted a good nights rest. After one visit with Lara Wilkes, I was able to sleep in my own bed again! I am so grateful, and can’t wait to continue treatment at this clinic. Lara provided acupuncture and cupping to address my concerns and I feel overall lighter today, less bloated, no rib pain, and no acid reflux throughout the night. I've received a gift certificate from my son for a full service (acupuncture, cupping, and massage), so, I went for my initial consultation with Lara. I was impressed on the attention she was giving to me. She spent time to get to know me first, then focused on my well being. She gave me some suggestions how to boost my health. The acupuncture wasn't painful at all...just a tingling sensation. I was truly thankful for Lara's caring ways for helping me to understand how aches and pains can be approached in different manners of treatment. Katie, was another wonderful person who performed the Cupping and Massage...it was amazing! If I could give 10 stars I would . I work all day at a computer and Lara has healed me with whatever ailments I have. She is extremely knowledgeable and is absolutely the best at figuring out what you need. Also, the combination of acupuncture and a massage afterwards (shout out to Katie - amazing!) is truly phenomenal. In addition, Lara is an alchemist of the first order. Her balm I use at night on any part of my body that is in pain, and I wake up in the morning and the pain is gone. It's magic. The supercube I use in my coffee every morning and I don't feel insane and wound up like I used to, but still feel the effects of the caffeine. Again, magic. You cannot go wrong going here!

This is the best acupuncture I have ever experienced. Lara is a true healer and I am sure her practice partner is as good because the bar is very high here. Efficient booking, excellent communication, adorable soothing space, all kinds of elixirs and supplements for sale, as well as cute gifts. Lara is extremely intuitive and knowledgeable, honing in on chronic muscle and joint pain I’ve had for years, offering a fresh eye and very effective approach. I feel amazing every time I leave there. Her personality brightens your day, as a bonus.

Date of Service: 9/9/24 I received treatment today from Lara and Grace. As Lara had not seen me at PDX she began with a thorough review and update of my medical history. Lara has a wonderful way of making you feel comfortable - kind of Midwest / Minnesota nice. You will love her. Lara targeted several areas of concern with incredible skill. Her ability to insert the accupunture needles was incredible. Lara also treated me with electronic stimulation to some problem areas. Once she was done with the initial part of the treatment I was able to zone out and that I did in a very relaxing treatment room.
