Let me begin with I have been in a lot of pain in my hip for the past few months which really affected my quality of life. I am normally very active and I am in excellent physical condition for my age. Unfortunately my hip problems caused me to “waddle” when I walked. This was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Dr. Pat Joyner was recommended by one of my doctors and after an MRI it was determined that I needed extensive hip surgery. Dr. Joyner did the surgery and told me in the recovery room that I eventually will be 100% again. After physical therapy prescribed by the doctor I am thrilled to say that I am 95% there. I had shoulder surgery scheduled with Dr Joyner but 5 days out, I had still not met Dr Joyner. I had asked several times WHEN I would meet him & was told that I would meet him at my pre-op appointment. At my pre-op visit - the MA walked in & said that Dr Joyner was called out to a meeting and she would be conducting the pre-op visit. She acted like this was normal practice for her to be the provider at the pre-op visit. I had questions about post-op medications that she couldn’t answer. The MA was very sweet, but acted like I was overreacting a bit because I insisted on meeting the person who was going to cut into my body & place a foreign object in my arm in 5 days. She offered to have me come back 3 hrs later - which was quite an inconvenience because I had this appointment scheduled wee

Doctor joyner and his staff are very professional and thorough. After having surgeries on both the left and right shoulders performed by doctor joyner, i feel that I have two brand new shoulders now.
