Patient First Primary & Urgent Care - Chantilly

They got me in quickly. The staff were all friendly, professional and efficient. I thought I had a cold. Nope, they diagnosed COVID, prescribed treatment and had me on my way home in less than ninety minutes. Followed up with two more visits to confirm recovery. Excellent facility. Very efficient. Easy parking. There are even phone chargers in the exam rooms.

I tripped and fell face down on my driveway a few days ago. Banged up my nose, forehead, and hand. I went to Patient First because I knew I needed an X-ray for my hand. The nurse who saw me first had multiple X-rays taken for my hand and head. Dr. Tolentino was great. He performed some tests to make sure that I did not have a concussion or any neurological issues. He went over all the X-rays in great detail to verify that I did not have any broken bones or head injuries. He's a very knowledgeable, thorough and informative doctor who I would highly recommend. Definitely five stars for this experience.

I was seen by Chara Gupta, Physician Assistant, on Tuesday, January 20th, for congestion related to an asthma flare. During the visit, I explained that I was experiencing chest tightness as well as stomach pain. After listening to my chest, she stated that she did not hear any wheezing and therefore felt that steroids were not necessary, offering only medication for my stomach pain. I informed her that I was still experiencing stomach pain but was concerned primarily about my asthma symptoms and requested steroids to help manage the flare. My request was immediately declined. I felt dismissed, as the absence of audible wheezing does not necessarily rule out airway inflammation or an asthma exacerbation. My friend was seen by a physician assistant, Charu Gupta, for an asthma flare-up, and the care provided was extremely concerning. Despite my friend clearly experiencing ongoing respiratory symptoms, the PA did not provide treatment, prescribe medication, or perform a thorough evaluation. She was sent home without intervention. My friend continued to feel unwell, which led us to return and request to be seen by an physician. The doctor took the time to listen, properly assess her condition, and prescribed the medications needed to treat the asthma exacerbation. The difference in care was significant.
